How can I book an appointment?

Appointments are made through a referral process. You may be referred by your family doctor, the health unit, a midwife, or through the ER. After a referral is received, our office will contact you with a date and time of your appointment.

Where does Dr. Rondinelli deliver patients?

Dr. Rondinelli delivers patients at HPHA – SGH

Does Dr. Rondinelli do elective vaginal breech deliveries

No, Dr. Rondinelli does not offer elective vaginal breech deliveries. She does, however offer cesarean section or external cephalic versions to the appropriate candidates. 

What services does Dr. Rondinelli provide?

Dr. Rondinelli provides a wide range of obstetrical and gynecological services. Please refer to the individual tabs to view some examples 

Can my partner come to my doctor visits?

You can bring one support person with you to your visit. Please note that most consultation appointments will require a pelvic exam; keep this in mind if you are planning to bring a child with you.  

Will Dr. Rondinelli delivery my baby if she is my Obstetrician?

Dr. Rondinelli will provide your obstetrical care leading up to your delivery. Unfortunately, labor and delivery is not always predictable and, as such, whoever is the Obstetrician on-call at the hospital when you go into labor will deliver your baby. It may or may not be Dr. Rondinelli

Where will I go for my OB appointments?

Typically, your OB visits will be at the hospital but sometimes they will be in the office.

I want to get pregnant, what should I do to prepare for pregnancy?

You should talk to your family doctor before getting pregnant. Together, you will review your medical history, medications and about optimizing your health prior to conceiving. You may require a pre pregnancy consultation.

I am pregnant, when should I start seeing an OB or midwife for prenatal care?

This depends on several factors, including your medical history and your current pregnancy. Many family doctors provide obstetrical care. You should talk to your family doctor as soon as possible, to determine the optimal time for you to be referred to an OB or midwife for prenatal care. 

Do OBGYNs do surgery?

Yes, OBGYNs perform a wide range of surgeries. Some examples include, cesarean sections, endometrial biopsies, hysterectomies, permanent sterilization, incontinence procedures and cervical ionizations (ie LEEPs), to name a few.

Does Dr. Rondinelli do colposcopy?

Yes, Dr. Rondinelli does colposcopy at the hospital 

Do you do labs in the office?

No. We do not provide blood work labs in the office. If you need blood work done, you will be given a requisition.  

Do you do ultrasound in the office?

No. We do not provide ultrasound services in the office. An ultrasound requisition will be given to you if needed.

Can I (or should I) get my hormones tested?

This is a very commonly asked question. Many hormones and proprietary supplements are heavily marketed toward women who believe their hormones are “imbalanced.” The answer to this question depends on what the hormones are being tested is for. Not everyone requires hormone testing. You should talk to your family doctor to discuss if hormone testing is necessary for you.

Is Dr. Rondinelli LGBTQ friendly?

Yes, Dr. Rondinelli is LGBTW friendly and respects desired pronouns

I was referred to Dr. Rondinelli, do I need to get a pelvic exam?

Not all consultations or appointments require a pelvic exam; however, based on the nature of the issues we manage, most appointments will require a pelvic exam initially. If you are concerned, please call our office and ask if your appointment will require a pelvic exam.

Does Dr. Rondinelli provide vaginal laser therapy

No, Dr. Rondinelli does not provide this service.
